It started with a knife, a piece of meat, and a passion for good food. The Bull and the Fat Man was born out of a love for cooking and true South African tradition.
The name? Well, let’s just say one of us was a bit more “Bull” and the other... a bit more “Fat Man”.
The name stuck, along with the dream to turn our love for biltong, braaivleis, and good company into something truly special.
Today, our shops in Irene and Wierda Park are filled with the aromas of tradition, the sound of laughter, and shelves stocked with biltong, wors, nuts, spices, and proudly South African products, many of them handmade or locally sourced.
At The Bull and the Fat Man, we don’t just sell biltong, we offer an experience, a smile, and that warm feeling of “I belong here.”
